چکیده

We show possible transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution functions (TMDs) for spin-1 hadrons including twist-3 and 4 in addition to the leading twist-2 ones by investigating all decomposition of a quark correlation function Lorentz-invariant way. The Hermiticity parity invariance are imposed decomposition; however, time-reversal is not used due an active role gauge links TMDs. Therefore, there exist time-reversal-odd even list up twist-4 level because were missing terms associated with lightcone vector $n$ previous works on part was no correlation-function study parts hadrons. that 40 TMDs tensor-polarized hadron twists 2, 3, 4. Some expressions structure modified from derivations new $n$, we find 30 3 this work. Since collinear should vanish after integrals over partonic transverse momentum, obtain sum rules functions, $ \int d^2 k_T h_{LT}= h_{LL} = h_{3LL} =0$. In addition, indicate fragmentation rare observables explicit color degrees freedom flow, which cannot be usually measured confined

Non-universality of transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions

In the field theoretical description of hadronic scattering processes, single transverse-spin asymmetries arise due to gluon initial and final state interactions. These interactions lead to process dependent Wilson lines in the operator definitions of transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions. In particular for hadron–hadron scattering processes with hadronic final states this...

Renormalization-group approach to transverse-momentum dependent parton distribution functions in QCD

We discuss the renormalization of gauge-invariant transverse-momentum dependent (TMD), i.e., unintegrated, parton distribution functions (PDFs) and carry out the calculation of their anomalous dimension at one loop. We show that in the light-cone gauge, TMD PDFs contain UV divergences that may be attributed to the renormalization effect on a cusp-like junction point of the gauge contours at inf...

Bounds on Transverse Momentum Dependent Distribution Functions

Here, P and S denote the parent hadron momentum and spin, and the relevant component of the quark momentum is x = p/P, the light-cone momentum fraction. The components a = a · n∓ stem from vectors n+ and n−, satisfying n2+ = n 2 − = 0 and n+ ·n− = 1, which are fixed by the momentum that introduces the large scaleQ, together with a (soft) hadron momentum. When only the leading part in orders of ...

Transverse momentum dependent parton distribution and fragmentation functions with QCD evolution

We assess the current phenomenological status of transverse momentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDFs) and fragmentation functions (FFs) and study the effect of consistently including perturbative QCD (pQCD) evolution. Our goal is to initiate the process of establishing reliable, QCD-evolved parametrizations for the TMD PDFs and TMD FFs that can be used both to test TMD facto...

Gauge Invariance and Renormalization-group Effects in Transverse-momentum Dependent Parton Distribution Functions

A range of issues pertaining to the use of Wilson lines in integrated and transversemomentum dependent (TMD) parton distribution functions (PDF) is discussed. The relation between gauge invariance and the renormalization properties of the Wilson-line integrals is given particular attention. Using an anomalous-dimensions based analysis in the light-cone gauge, a generalized definition of the TMD...
